I found another really cool one, over in West Chester, Pa., at JH Guitars. It’s a limited run Palo Escrito Tele and here’s what it says:
Palo Escrito is a endiginous wood to Mexico, often used on Mexican folk instruments. This unique guitar marries the historically revered local wood with the iconic Telecaster. This wood has very unique properties and it’s grain pattern and hue can vary drastically, so no 2 will be alike. A 60’s classic Tele with a bound solid Palo Escrito top.
This is a Mexican Tele going for $769 (list – $957). Here’s some pics:

AND…..not that this is an option, BUT…..I came across a vintage 60’s Tele that looks allot like the red one in my initial post, and being that that one and these are 60’s based, I think it must be trying to tell me something. But here’s what they say about the vintage one over at Buffalo Bros, where it’s being offered for sale.
1969 Fender Telecaster With Factory Bigsby Vintage White: (VG) Beautifully aged white finish, Rosewood fingerboard on comfy “C” shape Maple neck, pearl dots, 3-ply white pickguard, Fender Bigsby tailpiece. They did a pretty good job, as you can see, on modeling that red 60’s Tele after these 60’s ones with the Bigsby’s, but those slight differences bug me. Enough that the Bigsby can’t make up for it? I don’t know, don’t think so though, cuz I totally dig that Bigsby on a Tele look.
And on a side note to close out this post, I noticed they don’t put the “F” on the neckplate like they used to. I can see them not putting it on their foreign line, but the US made fenders don’t get them anymore, not even the Masterbuilt models. I would just like to see them again. I think it’s because it doesn’t feel like I’m looking at a Fender if it doesn’t have the “F” on their parts, including the saddles and tuners. So c’mon Fender, bring back the F’n “F”.
